INSPIRE FEST FAQ

When is Inspire Fest?

Inspire Fest is Saturday July 15th from noon until midnight. If there are enough ticket sales we will add Friday night July 14th from 6pm to midnight for entry on the same ticket.

How much is a general admission ticket?

Regular priced tickets are $40. Tickets purchased at the gate are $50. There are no youth tickets. Children 12 and under are free with an accompanied adult.

Who is included on a family pass ticket?

Two adults (18+) and up to two accompanying youth (13-17) are included on a family pass ticket. Youth require a general admission ticket unless attending with accompanied adults on a family pass ticket.

Is outside food & beverages allowed?

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase at Inspire Fest. You may bring your own snacks for personal consumption. Outside alcohol is STRICTLY prohibited. Alcohol will be for sale in designated areas. Water is available to refill your non-glass beverage containers. Glass of any kind is prohibited.

Is there parking?

Parking is available on-site, free of charge. The lower lot will be accessible after you check-in at the front gate and volunteers will direct you. There is also ample street parking and you can gain access to the event on foot.

What can we expect at the gate?

Be prepared to have your ticket (printed or on your phone) scanned at the gate, and your ID checked to receive appropriate wristband. All persons entering on a family pass must enter together. All attendees must sign an electronic waiver to attend Highfield Regenerative Farm. For those attending under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must complete the waiver on their behalf. Guests and their belongings are subject to search for prohibited items upon entry.

What items are prohibited?

Do not bring outside alcohol or Illegal substances. Animals, weapons, laser pointers, fireworks, fuel, or glass of any kind is also a big no. Security will also be on the lookout for any unauthorized solicitations, drones, feathers, and any other items that appear to threaten the farm or integrity of the event.

Is there re-entry?

Proof of payment and visible wristband is required for re-entry.

What can we expect at the farm?

Highfield Regenerative Farm is a working farm and as such the conditions are somewhat rustic. The ground is covered in soil and wood chips so good shoes are a must! Portalets and handwashing stations are placed throughout the grounds. There will be some seating in designated areas. There is no ATM at the farm; however, we do have Square available for some transactions.

What is your weather policy?

This event is rain or shine. Please dress appropriately! In the event of severe weather we will implement the following protocols:

  • Thunder/Lightning - folks will be asked to move indoors or to their cars until 20 minutes after the final thunder is heard.

  • Air Quality - smoke levels 7+ will cause the event to be cancelled.

  • High Winds - winds of 50km/hr+ will cause the event to be cancelled.

In the event of a cancellation, we will send an email prior to the event.

What about accessibility?

With a somewhat uneven ground, Highfield Regenerative Farm can be physically difficult to navigate. If you require to bring an assistive device, service animal and/or support person to allow you to attend this event, please contact us so we can do our best to make sure there are no barriers to your participation. Note that our leasehold does not allow dogs on the premises; as such we can only allow certified and trained service animals with proper documentation.

Where can we find the event schedule?

Artist announcements and a full event schedule are displayed above or find the full schedule and the site map here, and any updates/additions/changes will be shared on our Instagram and Facebook pages @inspirefestyyc.

How do I get involved?

Inspire Fest loves our volunteers, and we need a lot of them!  All volunteers will receive entry to Inspire Fest and some swag in gratitude for their service. If this sounds like you, please sign up for a shift here.

Inspire Fest will feature all local Art, Bands, DJs, Performances, Vendors, and Workshops. A few of these areas have already been filled, but we are open to hearing your good ideas! Please stand by!

Your Inspire Fest Packing List:
  • Weather appropriate clothing; this event is entirely outdoors.

  • WATER; though we will have water stations, and bottles for sale for $1, please bring lots of water with you!

  • Sunscreen and hat; there is shade available around the farm, but the main activities are exposed. Please be sun safe!

  • Bug Repellant; all this rain and the mosquitoes are out in full force once that sun goes down.

  • Chairs or a blanket; we have some seating on the farm, but bring a picnic blanket and camp chairs to create your own space.

  • Your ID; this is a family friendly event, but we do have a licensed area! If you are 18+ and would like to take advantage of our locally sourced bar, bring your ID.

  • Cash or Card; our local vendor marketplace features a selection of awesome Calgary based artisans to support. Vendors and bar/food service will have the capacity to take both cash and card.

  • Your dancing shoes;  this is a working farm and most of our spaces are mulched. We recommend close-toed shoes but just make sure you are comfortable and ready to have fun!

  • Extras: roller skates and a white/light garment - take a look at the schedule so you can be prepared for all the workshops you would like to take that may involve some BYOElements
